Removing information from hospital letters

Hi, I'm quite new here, although I've been reading through a lot of material and forum posts.
I have MS, fibromyalgia and rheumatoid arthritis - and a few other autoimmune diseases seem to be hopping along for the ride by the looks of it.
I have my PIP Review coming up, and I'm about to send off my forms early next week.
I wondered if it was okay to remove (tippex out) some information on hospital/consultant's letters (before photocopying them and enclosing the copied one to them)? Some of the information is simply not relevant, and some does not really support my case, for various reasons.
Kind regards,
Julie

Hi Julie

You are right to be cautious about what you send in. If you tippex out information, the chances are they will be able to tell information is missing, even on a photocopied copy, and they might wonder why. Ask yourself whether you need to include the letter if it doesn't support your case. If the information is irrelevant, I would just put a line through it - or black it out and say why you have done it. But, at the end of the day, only you can decide what you should send in.
