UC WCA decision - should I ask for report? was created by Teddy
Hello
After sending in the form in 6 months ago, have finally had a WCA assessment and decision in the last week or two.
I spent hours on the form and preparing for the assessment - with supporting evidence and examples etc and thank you to B&W for the guides which are useful and did help me. Have been awarded LCWRA which is good news. My husband thinks it was an obvious decision but has no idea how difficult it was to do those forms and the interview.
My question is - should I call and ask for the assessors report even though I was successful? Can it harm me in any way if I ask for it? I would like it partly out of curiosity to see which of the many problems I described to them they have taken into account. Also for future reference as I imagine I will have to go through this all again some time - it does not say how long the award is for (is that normal not to tell you?)
Thank you

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Hi Teddy
Congratulations on your award. You are entitled to a copy of the report now that you have had the decision letter and it won't harm you in any way to ask for it. It could be useful.
It's an ongoing award, and no, they often don't tell you how long it will run for. Before the pandemic, people were reviewed about every three years. Now it's more uncertain.

Hi Teddy
The assessors report for a UC WCA is called a UC85, quite often on the UC85 it will given an indication as to how long before you are next assessed.
