New PIP Claim was created by pacaho
Hello Members
I have been diagnosed with fibromyalgia, MPS, borderline COPD, asthma, severe sleep apnoea, PTSD, and more recently long covid (12 symptoms). In short, a bit of a mess and I can be bed bound for up to 16 hours daily. My wife is now stepping in as my full-time carer.
I will be making a claim for PIP shortly. Based on past experience, does anyone think I will be successful in a potential claim for both daily living and mobility at the higher rate?
Many thanks in anticipation of any assistance.
Regards
Paul

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Hi pacaho
It's impossible for anyone to give you an accurate answer. It's not so much the medical conditions as how those conditions impact your ability to manage daily living tasks and/ or mobility as set down in the PIP criteria. This is entirely individual and will be up to how you complete the form, explain your difficulties, the assessor who is reading the information and some luck. The luck shouldn't be an issue - but it is because some assessors are great and some less so.
