Higher rate Mobility for my disabled car was created by Meg1golf
I am on higher rate mobility and standard rate disabled. They run to 13/2/23 along with my mobility car and blue badge.
If pip is going to extend pip by 12 months how will this affect my mobility car as they normally like 3 year award. I have to order new car in November 2022.
Do I just carry on as if my award is for 3 years
Please advise

You need to speak to Motability, only they can answer this question for you.

If I remember correctly you need at least one year remaining on your award to order a new car. best wishes

Hi Meg1golf,
as Motability customers [on 4th car now] we were not aware until tipped off by a helpful car dealership chap, that you can negotiate an extension to your current lease for all sorts of reasons. [It just took a polite but firm phone call].
Don't know if you have already done this, or are just getting the barrage of 'it's time to choose your new car' bumf they send out. At the moment there is a dearth of any new cars so it makes sense to hang on to the one you've got if it meets your needs and you are happy with it.
We realised extending made the substantial down payment we had to contribute to get a suitable car much better value by keeping it longer!
Hope this helps,
Denby
