Blue badge was created by Michael
I don't know if this is outside the scope of the forum but I received a parking fine because I forgot to display my blue badge. I have informally challenged this but my local council is not accepting that I have a valid blue badge as a good enough reason to quash the ticket (very greedy council) so now I have to wait for a notice to the owner to take it to adjudicator. I am just curious to know if anyone has had a similar experience and taken it to to the adjudicator and won?

Hi Michael,
Was the signage clear saying the badge had to be displayed?
Was this a disabled bay?
Was this public or private land?
Were the regulations clear?
Was there a particular reason why you forgot to display the badge?
Does the penalty notice include the offence details correct regulations, csr details road, time etc?
If the signs are clear and properly displayed, then I suspect you will have little comeback and may have to accept the fine. If not then you might be able to apoeal.
If any part of the offence, road, time ,regulations car details are not correct this might also give rise to an appeal.
However if the above don't apply you could write to the council and explain you were having a bad day etc and ask them to consider waiving the fine. They might, it is possible.
If you pay the fine, I suspect that you will be deemed to accept it, and hence can't then appeal.
Unfortunately I fear that you may have to pay the fine.
I hope this helps.
