Hello to all in the forum,

I got my £150 payment yesterday (thursday 29th Sept).

But earlier in the month i also received £326 as part of the £650 payment for all.

What i am going to say may shock a lot of people, my heating is included with my rent but i only have electricity in my flat, running a mail server, an uninterrupted psu =, a small fridge with an icebox, the wifi hub i'm still only using the total amount of <60p of electricity per day.

I tend to go out everyday as fresh food is better than processed but even now i am struggling but are these payments a method of softening us up for whatever HM Gov is about to do next?

We have seen a mini-budget that are making the rich, richer and the poor poorer, disabled folks don't even fit into the picture, everything is going up and yet those who have taken the newest seats in government don't seem to realise that by alienating the disabled and the pensioners that they can lose a general election.

Voices do matter and we are a strong voice, i'm not a politician but even my assistance dog could run this country far better.

Rant over.. thank you..

regards

Peter

Ps in the words of screaming Lord Such to all £1m and to those who need more (disabled folks) £2m.

Hi Peter

It is good to have a rant.

I received an email from my utility supplier yesterday saying that they will be reducing my direct debit from £118 pm to £68pm for the next 6 months.

I did not qualify for the £150

I don't know if this will apply to other suppliers but worth checking. Just had a chart emailed from Good Energy showing the current electricity and gas prices we pay, what the prices would be without the Government Energy Price Guarantee Support and the new reduced price with the Government Energy Price Guarantee Support. I note that the net increase is much less for the electricity Economy 7 night rate than the day rate. So it will be extra economical to use night electricity wherever possible compared to day. Also this: "Please note: these rates don't include your Energy Bills Support Scheme discount. This is an additional £400 discount for this winter, which will be paid to you in monthly instalments between October 2022 and March 2023. Find out more at goodenergy.co.uk/energy-bills-support-scheme." And there should be extra for being on DLA coming from Gov't. I found it helpful to see the different scheme names printed out in full, as some of the media reporting has been quite confusing/confused.
