Filling Award Review Form question was created by randal_bond
Hi.

When I fill three sections of each descriptor, do I start with writing "No Change" and then elaborate? Or should I better write "Due to my ME/CFS I still have problems with...." and then elaborate? What would be more appropriate?

Being foggy, I don't quite understand this automatic renewal thing. In my situation, will it be automatically renewed for 3-12 months or am I likely to have to go through the usual gruelling process of PIP renewal that may get me through Mandatory Reconsideration to the Tribunal? Sorry, if it's clear for everybody else. I still need help with this.

Doctors can't treat my condition, just manage symptoms. So, I haven't visited any specialists for years and don't have any scheduled appointments. Do assessors use it against claimants?

Hi randal_bond

I would treat a review form as if it was a new claim, if your condition has not changed then write no change but also explain how your condition affects you. if you kept a copy of your original form then use that as a guide, if your condition has worsenunder some section then explain your situation and what has got worse.

It is perfectly OK for you to type your answers and attach them as extra pages to the form, just make sure that each page has your full name and NIN at the top and that they are numbered, we recommend "page X of Y" so that it is easy to see if pages are missing. Make sure you clearly mark on the form where your answers are and on the relevant page that you are answering question X.

I would not split your answers across the form and attached pages, do one or the other for each activity (not question), splitting it risks the second part of your answer not being read.

Attach the pages to the back of the form using a staple or make a hole in the top left corner and use a treasury tag, string or ribbon to the form. The pages need to be easily detached so that they can be scanned by the DWP.
