PIP mandatory recon evidence was created by Helen
I got 10 points but have been awarded zero points for the below. Need to request mandatory reconsideration by 14th
Eating and drinking - letter said ‘there is no evidence of any dietician input’ . I have a letter from my psychaitrist recommending I get a daily sandwich delivery to help remember to eat - do you think this would help?
Managing your treatments - I take ADHD meds 4/5/6 X a day. Not at scheduled times (alarms don’t work I just ignore them). I start feeling a bit crap when they’re wearing off so would take it then. Problem is I often forget I’ve taken it or do it without thinking so end up double dosing. Same with paracetmol. So often have to ask my housemate if I’ve taken it or even asking colleugues on work calls if they’ve seen me taking anything.. Would it help to include that in the mandatory reconsideration?
Making budget decisions - 36 now and since o was 18 I’ve been constantly in debt due to compulsive over spending.. Especially if I’m a bit hypomanic. When I worked in retail my manager kept my credit cards in the safe to keep them away from me. And now my housemate says she is going to keep them for me so I can try and manage it. Would sending them a copy of my credit report help or hinder as evidence? They’d be able to see all the loans and credit cards revolving and growing
Thanks in advance

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Hi Helen
You can do an out of time MR request, so don't start panicking. I usually use a CRMR1 form when requesting a MR, if you do use the CRMR1 form then when you send it off, send it by recorded delivery; www.gov.uk/government/publications/chall...ork-and-pensions-dwp
I would send in a copy of the letter as it shows your psychiatrist is concerned about your eating.
Do you have a dossett box to store your tablets? you can get numerous types such as days of the week, days of the week split into quarters, (morning, noon, tea time, evening time), usually you only get 1 extra point for this activity
There may be an error in the report, I would seek advice from your local Welfare Rights Organisation; advicelocal.uk to see if you should apply for a MR, have you requested a copy of the assessors report (PA4)? You do need this to see why you were awarded the points.
As to making budgeting decisions, have a look at our latest guide; benefitsandwork.co.uk/guides-for-claimants/pip

I think this probably applies:
4 Should you have help from another person?
Help includes help you need but don’t get. So, for example, if you attempt to manage you own
money and you get seriously into debt or fail to pay vital bills because you don’t have the help you
need, give details.
Help can be in the form of prompting, supervision to keep you safe or assistance.
so might help to send the credit report? various times 've had to give credit cards to others for safekeeping too
