PIP Review - waiting over 18months

Hi,

Ive been waiting for 18 months after sending back my Review Form. Having contacted DWP on numerous occasions I keep getting the same response “you continue to get paid your standard rate daily living payments but there is a huge back log and your form is still in a queue waiting to be processed, but reassure, if you are owed money it will be backed”. The latest phone call I had with them the other day, they advised me it could be in the New Year before I’m contacted. I have sent further evidence of my illnesses showing exactly how my disabilities are affect me (which is a lot worse than when I last had my review) and waiting for this review is really not helping my Mental Health.

What is the longest waiting time someone has had to wait for a review.

I've been waiting since 20/6/21. I even went as far as getting in touch with my MP. They replied to him and said it was because of Covid. No further suggestion of what to do. Stress in my illness causes Pain. I am in agony over this, and it isn't going to end any time soon, I am guessing.

I know exactly how you feel, having to deal with several illness and feeling stressed about this whole process which certainly doesn’t help when you have mental health illnesses. Hopefully we’ll hear something soon, but every time I call they keep moving the goal posts on when I should hear, can only just wait.

Hi, I am in the same boat . July text might need assessment ! October another text might need assessment. My mental health and physicalare effected. This amount of time for review yours mine others is sending people over the edge
