Hello everyone, I hope that you can help me. D W P got my completed pip form 22/9/22. I know this because I had to contact them as I hadn't had an acknowledgement or need of my claim. I was told that there was no need for additional information and it went forward for assessment on 30/09/22. I got a 'courtesy phone call' from IS on 22/20/22, to remind me that I have my assessment on 24/10/22. I have not had anything from them and they have a very old mobile number that isn't even functioning anymore. They managed to contact me on my landline number and they didn't seem too bothered about their contact details being out of date. However I was allowed to get another date..for 27/10/22. I haven't had time to prepare very well, as we are in the middle of prepping for my partner's assessment on 25/10/22. Is it common for things to happen so quickly? From receipt of the form to assessment within a month? I am really worried that they are going to take away my Esa. I used to have DLA but I had a number of strokes and didn't send the new pip form. Maybe they want to to something about my claims even though I am much worse now than I was then. I am very sorry to ramble on and perhaps confuse matters, but I have not heard of this happening before.

The speed they are dealing with your claim in no way reflects how successful it might be, the timescale you describe is how the system is supposed to be working, you may have been "lucky" and had your file given to an assessor who has had some cancellations in their diary.
