Mental illness was created by Souter

Hi, can someone advise, please. My brother has been suffering mental health for some time. Hi Gp last week gave him a 13 week sick note . The social security where he signs on have sent him a letter saying they want to see him. When my brother phoned to say he was unwell they said he must come in they said they need to see his face. Is this allowed when your doctor has signed you off basically saying he is not fit for work. We live in Scotland.

Hi Souter

Your brother will need to contact a local Welfare Rights Organisation, if he fails to turn up for an appointment then his claim could be suspended. You can find your local Welfare Rights Organisation to help you with advice by clicking on the link below and putting in your post code, it will then come up with a MAP with a list of agencies. advicelocal.uk
