Online PIP claim issues was created by MuttonJeff
I'm getting really distressed trying to do an online PIP claim. I entered around 8 different health conditions, just entering a brief description thinking I can get them listed then go back and enter further details but I could go back into any of them to do anything! I had clicked the save and continue after each and added another condition. I logged out and back in and only the last illness was visible! After half an hour on hold on DWP helpline it cut me off. Is this normal? I was told if I opted for online claim I could save and edit the details. I can type but not write easily due to arthritis in my thumbs. Help!!!!!

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Hi MuttonJeff
I'm sorry this has happened, but I can't say anything that will comfort you. You ask whether it is common to be cut off after getting through to the DWP. It's a hit-and-miss affair, and yes, sometimes it happens.
In terms of the online form, yes, you should be able to save and edit the details. Unfortunately, technology sometimes doesn't work as it should. I'm afraid you have no choice but to try again.

If you are having problems with the online form then it might be because of the browser you are using. Have you tried using a different browser like firefox or google chrome?
Just a thought.

Thanks, I often use Chrome on a Mac which can cause issues. However after I logged out and in again twice the information I'd entered reappeared! It's hard enough without worrying about it all vanishing!

When you get to the very end of the form it gives you option to go back over and edit all sections. I didn’t realise and was starting again each time because I thought I had lost everything. When you have finally completed all sections after you press send you will get option to save the form to your pc, laptop, phone. Don’t forget to do this as you only get the option once.
