Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Hi paradox
The reports are true that the government is not ruling out means testing but I think that is just a holding answer as they are not clear yet what will happen on 17th November.
I think it is unlikely they will change it. In any case I would recommend you try not to worry (I know that’s difficult) after all there is nothing you or I can do at this stage so worrying is not helpful.
Regards
Pete

Hi paradox,
The way the article has been written is the journalistic way of getting pieces of writing to say what they want them to say.
This is and has always been the case.
The DWP secretary is saying that nothing is off the table, been decided etc as he hasn't got the foggiest idea what is going to happen.
In other words, he is just covering his backside in case something does happen which in fact is extremely unlikely.
It's a politician's way of keeping people guessing and - worrying.
PIP payments have never been means tested and they never will.
If this pathetic government ever tried to do the dirty and implement anything remotely like this it would be the end of this parliament and possibly the end of the Tory Party forever.
Regards,
Phrank.
