Text expected from dwp on receipt of form?

I seem to recall that dwp send a text to say they have received all the info for your PIP when they receive your completed review form. Do you know at what point they send this text? Do they wait until the deadline date to send this text even if you have sent the form back before the deadline? Does the text come some time after they have received the form back? Is the text sent before your form goes to medical assessors? I am asking because the call centre have told me over the phone when I rang that my form has been received by them, but I haven't had a text at all. The call handler couldn't see my returned form on my file initially, which was strange, but then found it after a while.

Hi Perdita

It is a bit hit and miss with receiving text messages, some members inform that they have received a text message others, including you have not.

We have been informed that if a claims form has a mobile number on it then the claimant should get a text message informing them that DWP has received their claim, unfortunately this is not always the case.

We would advise claimants to send claims off by recorded delivery, wait 48 hrs then check the form has been delivered and then contact DWP to see if it is on their system.
