I got my letter to tell me I had lost my reassessment for PIP after been on the award for over 10 years! the report was an utter lie!
according to the report I refused a physical assessment... even though it was a video assessment! Also, according to the assessor because i can drive a manual car it means i can go to the toilet, i can dress and cook with no difficulties, yet the difficulties of driving distances and the planning of routes to drive were never mentioned in the report. For the planning a journey descriptor the assessor talked about using a bus and public transport...

During the video assessment i divulged that i was in the process of separating form my wife due to domestic abuse... (I told her what kind of abuse i was facing) She recorded in the report what specifically the abuse was so everyone at DWP could read i was getting abused and what kind of abuse it was, but the thing that really hurt me was it was only "..... alleged abuse" my support worker said it was very unprofessional, but more than that it was a breach of data protection!

As I live in Scotland within the next 18 months I'm due to be transferred to the Scottish benefits system and put on ADP, I just don't think its fair that DWP can remove me from PIP when I'm in transition to the Scottish system. Just doesn't feel right or fair to me.

How can they justify or how can the assessors live with themselves for the pain and heartache they put us claimants through.

If you have lost your PIP award then you aren't going to be transitioned to ADP.

You can request a Mandatory Reconsideration of the PIP Decision, our Appeal guide will explain how to do this. See the Guided ink at the top of the page.

Or, you can make a new claim for ADP, the criteria are the same as PIP but the assessment process is very different. You will lose any money that might be paid by a successful MR from the end of your PIP award to when you make a claim for ADP.

Or. you can do both but there will be a considerable workload covering off both options.

Whether you request an MR or not I would contact the DWP for a copy of the assessment report to better understand how you failed so you better prepare for any ADP claim.
