ESA change of address - would this force a move to Universal Credit

Would a change of address result in my ESA support group claim being stopped and having to move onto Universal Credit with the waiting period that involves? I understand that for Housing Benefit I can change address so long as I stay in the same local area without having to move onto Universal Credit, but for ESA would a change of address (change in circumstances) not mean that I have to move onto Universal Credit?
