PIP review envelope not big enough was created by j112009
hello,
I have to many extra pages to fit in the envelope that comes with the PIP review form. Wpould it be safe to post it back in an ordinary envelope ot do they scan the form code through the window of the envelope they provide. I read a horror story on here that they lost someones review form at the handling site even though it was sent back special delivery. I'm really worried please advise. Thanks

Hi j112009
You can post the PIP review form with what ever you want, just make sure that any extra pages have your name and NI number on each page and number the pages.
Make sure that you send the form back by recorded delivery, wait a few days then check it has been delivered and signed for, then contact DWP to see if it has been listed on their system. When your post goes to the DWP postroom it is removed from the envelope and scanned on the system, papers can sometimes get detached and go missing.
I believe that I read somewhere that DWP receives thousands of items of post a day, some will inevitably go missing, so make sure yours is not one of them.

Hello j112009
The envelopes are just like the PIP application form, too small boxes along with too small envelope. My returns always end up needing a bigger envelope, I use the prepaid, return envelope like an address label. I then pay the difference between the prepaid amount and the signed for service, usually recorded delivery which you can then keep a track of. Always keep a copy of your completed PIP application for your pwn reference. Good Luck and do try not to worry......... too much.

Hi jll2009, I always have the same problem. Some post offices even sell plastic postage bags included with posting, or use whatever fits, reinforced with plenty of tape if necessary. I picked up from here and did it successfully last time, take the unused prepaid envelope to the post office and they should accept it as part payment for the special delivery or at least recorded delivery that you want.
Best wishes,
Denby

Another solution to the problem is an A4 "expanding" envelope (which are slightly bigger than A4) You can buy them in small amounts on Amazon for a reasonable price or sometimes a Small local post office will sell them individually.
Kindest Regards.

Hello j
I buy the plastic bags from Home Bargains. I’m sure they only used to be about £1 for at least 3, they come in 3 different sizes too. They’re strong & have a seal that would need to be cut open.
