Hi I have recently been awarded lcwwra in August this year. I am on universal credit and have been since October 2021. I am being told backdated on universal credit is from 3 months after the lcwwra award is this right? As looking at others it should be from after first 3 months I have in my sick notes all continuous no gaps. I am so confused with all this. I have been ill for over two years my illness getting worse last October and has to claim universal credit again due to my ESA ending in January 2022. Now my ESA(contribution based). got stopped only recently recieving again however should I have been getting payments from when it last stopped which was January 2022?
Forgive me but I am confused over the dates in your post.
You say you claimed UC in October 2021 and that your ESA ended in January 2022 but that you have only been awarded LCWRA in August this year.
Did you have an award as opposed to being on the Assessment Rate of ESA before the claim was closed. If you did then that award should have been reflected in your UC eith from the date the ESA became payable or from the date you claimed UC if the ESA pre-dates the UC.
But, to answer your specific question a new LCW or LCWRA award should be payable from the beginning of the 4th period following the date that a Fit Note was presented.
