MR / Appeal was created by Brian1888
Have telephone review assessment on Friday.
I currently receive PiP and am thinking worst case scenario after review.
If I have to ask for a MR then Appeal do I continue to receive PiP pending the outcome of MR or Appeal ?
Thanks

Hi Brian1888
I hope that it won't be the worst-case scenario.
if your review is not favourable and your award is downgraded, you will receive the new amount while you go through an MR and possibly an Appeal. If you win and the amount was increased to the previous level it would be backdated.
If your review is not favourable and you are not given an award at all, then your money will stop, but should you win an MR or Appeal it would then be back-dated.
I hope the assessment goes well for you on Friday. You can ring the DWP 48hrs after the assessment and ask for a copy of the report. However, because yours is taking place on Friday, I would leave it until Tuesday to ring.

Dear Brian 1888, please do ask asap for them to record your assessment and make one yourself, as it will help you greatly if it does go not-as-you-believe-it-should, leading you to MR/appeal.
I would also grab any willing friend to sit in with you, as you will feel stronger and it may reduce any attempt by the assessor to bully you etc.
best wishes, keep us posted,
Denby
