Good Afternoon,

I hope you are all keeping well.

I was last awarded pip from 15 Feb’21-19 July’23 - Enhanced-Mobility and Standard-Daily Living, for the condition of lumbar spine degeneration/sciatica and ME/CFS.

Late last week I received the pip review award forms, they were dated 18th November but i did not receive them until 8th December (they had taken 21days to actually get to me - is this normal?
Also, just another quick question, has anything changed regarding rules/guideline regarding ‘Planning & Following a Journey & ‘Moving Around’ especially regarding the fluctuating conditions that comes with the condition of ME/CFS.

Is there anything new I need to be aware of since my last review.

Also if my last award was dated 15 Feb’21 until 19 July’23, why am I having to do it 7 months early?

I hope I have explained myself properly, I am not at my best at the moment, I am getting very confused.

I await your reply.

Many thanks,

Daisydream

Hi Daisydream

Just a note. If that is your genuine email address as your user name, please go and change it. You don't want to advertise it across the internet.

Because of postal strikes, it is taking a long time for forms to arrive. Ring the DWP asap and ask for an extension. You will be given one.

We always suggest that people read the up-to-date information in the Guide to PIP claims and reviews. The information can be found from page 128.

Reviews can be conducted up to a 11 months before the award's end date. This is to give the DWP plenty of time to process them so people don't find themselves without money. So in your case, 7 months is not 'early.'

Hi Daisydream,

I had the same problem. Received review form last week (review due July) which had to be returned by 19th December.
because of the postal strike it got to me late, I just called them and they have given me an extension until 6th Jan :)

It takes a while to get through, but worth it. I just put on loud speaker and do something whilst I am waiting,

Good luck
