Hi im on carers allowance. I work part time at the supermarket.dwp have written to me that my pay must not exceed £528.03 per month . I am getting close to this and worry It will stop. It does say in the letter i can pay someone out of wages to care for the person when im not there.who is permitted to take on my role when i work .can i for example ask a family member?

You can earn up to £132 a week before your CA is affected.

CA is non-contributory. It counts in full as income for means-tested benefits, it is an overlapping benefit.

I am not sure where DWP get their figure from, I would advise you to seek help from your local Welfare Rights Organisation who will be able to take all your circumstances into consideration; you can find your local Welfare Rights Organisation to help you with advice by clicking on the link below and putting in your post code, it will then come up with a MAP with a list of agencies. advicelocal.uk
