Pip renewal was created by Henrietta Hastings
Hello,
My Pip renewal date was February 2023. Then in November 22 I had a letter from DWP saying my review date had changed to November 23. Then in January 23 I received the review forms with a completion date of 05/02/23. Can they bring my review date back to February, after telling me it’s November? This reversal will cause chaos with my motability agreement as I have a car on order, with a delayed delivery date of May 23. Help! What should I do?

Hi Henrietta Hastings
Review forms are sent out to claimants up to 11 months before the end of the award date. You have an end date of November 2023, so you have been sent a review form at the expected time. This is common practice with the DWP to give them plenty of time to process the forms and arrange an assessment if needed.
Your original end date was February 23, and you would have expected to have been sent a form any time from March 22. You didn't receive one and were informed the end date had changed to November 23. Many people had their dates changed because they have a backlog of reviews to process.
How quickly your forms will be processed, I cannot tell you. You will need to talk to Motability.

Hi, I was also in this position with motability and they said I could either keep the car I had until after the decision or proceed with the new one whichever I preferred. I decided on the new car as I needed to change to an automatic. Motability were very helpful. I hope that helps. Best wishes
