PIP Mandatory Reconsideration was created by pwreck
Hi there. I am in a similar position (scoring 0 points on my PIP assessment) and wish to request a MR. My question, please, is: when I request a MR how and when do I send them the evidence/comments to challenge the decision? Do I request the MR, then send in any supporting information, or should I delay requesting MR until I have everything prepared? I applied for PIP online initially online - does that mean I submit my MR online (and if so, how do I do this?)
I am sorry if this question is in the wrong place! I have never posted on any forum before (a bit of a dinosaur!)
Any advice would be very gratefully received. Many thanks.

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Hi Pwreck
I have moved your question to its own post. We ask people not to ask questions on top of someone else's post as it can sometimes get confusing, and we want to ensure everyone gets the answer they need.
Do have a look at our Guide to PIP Appeals - which has all the information about putting in for a Mandatory Reconsideration.

You only have four weeks from the date of your decision letter to put in for your MR - so you probably won't be able to delay it too long. Firstly, if you had a telephone or face-to-face assessment, you need (if you haven't already) to get hold of the PA4, which is the assessor's report. This will tell you why you didn't score any points and will help you argue why the assessor was 'mistaken' not to award your points. You don't have to submit information you have already done so - though you should certainly refer to it throughout your MR. As I've said, the guide is invaluable in helping you write it.
