Hello. I am worried about both ESA and PIP and lack of positive evidence (NHS evidence) regarding my mental health from the NHS. I claim both benefits on the grounds of my poor mental health. My working relationship with CMHT broke down and I can't count on their support. I was even kicked out from hospital by cmht doctor. The only evidence I would have comes from a PRIVATE psychiatrist. When I was healthy I used to pay her full fee for visits since I'm on benefits she accepted reduced fee. I have reports from her (psychiatric reviews) but she is a private doctor so this is not NHS. NHS consultant makes out that everything is ok with me. They also don't want to see me that often. Previously I had plenty of NHS evidence while now I don't and my condition worsened. Do you think DWP will look negatively at private psychiatrist reviews? I can't help it. This is the only evidence I will have. I worry about so many things in case they cut the benefits. They have extended ESA due to COVID. That's up to August. Pip is already under review. She has helped me fill in the form and put her stamp on it. But I only have evidence from her. She is my doctor of over 10 years. But I don't know how DWP will look at it. I'm in ESA support group. I can't count on NHS consultant. What do you think?

Hi Agus, yes send in any professional evidence you have, including a private psychiatrist, the DWP will take this into account if it is sent in your claim.

Good luck
