wow thank you for all your information as I've just been informed of an indefinite award for pip (10 yrs higher rate) after having to put all paperwork in after initially been awarded a 4yr award. this was done on a paper only basis, I have 2 question if you can help now about ESA all of a sudden i get a text saying thanks for your ESA inquiry (i had not inquired) but this was just 2 days after the PIP award, I've been told I will continue on ESA(no medical) but without a end date is this normal and is the PIP award associated with it ?
again many thanks for all the sites help kind regards

Hi Connelly22

Congratulations on your indefinite PIP award.

Regarding ESA -ESA is an indefinite award, so there is no end date. ESA is commonly reviewed after one, two or three years. Some people have been waiting longer for a review because the DWP has a backlog.

PIP and ESA are separate awards, though some find their reviews happen at similar times.
