Well im blowed,

Contribution-based Employment and Support Allowance will be paid to people within the EEA and Switzerland, provided you satisfy the National Insurance contributions in Great Britain and meet the other conditions for entitlement to benefit. You should claim in the usual way and your claim will be referred to the International Pension Centre.

i assume income related ESA is not payable. as i saw no mention of it on this site (above)

MrFibro There is a difference between going on holiday which is subject to the 4/13 week rule and exporting your benefits to another country :) Gordon

Hi there
I had to get a proof of benefit letter for ESA last year. The lady I spoke to was ever so nice. She sent me a letter stating what benefit I was on, and the year it was started. So, it went back to 2009.
Like you, I dont really receive much about the benefit. I do get the yearly letter in Febraury/March. I wonder if it is because I am also on PIP, and they do quite often like to do an assement. I think maybe they just do one assessment and share it between them.
