PIP Review result & quick question. was created by Cemily
Just to say a big thank you to Benefits and Work for all the support, & thanks especially to Forum mods who kept me sane when i was getting really anxious & distressed about it all. Your patience with me in explaining things i'd got confused has been an absolute Godsend. Wish i could thank you in person!
Got reuslt - enhanced for both & they have finally noticed that it's unlikely to change & have given me a ten yr award! What a relief!
Reading the assessors report (paper based assessment this time thank God!), its clear i was blessed to finally have an assessor who understood my conditions, & read all the info & evidence properly. Wonderful to have just told it how it is, given a full picture and had it actually listened to. Shows it can happen!
A quick question... Are all 10yr awards given a 'light touch' review? Assessors report recommends i not be reviewed again, but of course all rewards get reviewed at some point so wanst expecting no review.
The decision letter says 'all awards must be reviewed, but as your condition is unlikely to change i have given you maximum possible review period'. It doesnt say anything about that review being a "light touch" review, so wondered if all 10yr awards were just LT automatically or whether that would be specified?
So does that mean i

Hi Cemily,
Well done! Brilliant news. I'm glad that we all kept you sane! It's always very encouraging to hear good news stories such as yours. Thank you fir sharing.
As far as I'm aware a 10 Yr award should be light touch. What exactly that will entail I'm not sure, but I guess you won't need to worry about that fir a little while! That said, make sure you put all the papers in a safe place that you won't forget in case you need to refer to them again.
Once again, well done. Time to celebrate with a well earned cup of tea and a chocolate biscuit or two!
