Hi.
Had a text saying they were from independent assessment center.
I've had one previously from DWP? but rang them and found it was a scam.
Has anyone else had this? Was it genuine or fake?
I already had my award renewed in Sept of 2022 until 2028. Seems odd that I now get a message saying they'll let me know if I'm to go for an assessment now I've had my letter of award. The man on the phone the first time I got a text said my award is genuine.
Any ideas? I should ring them I suppose but it's a hassle getting through to anyone.

Hi Seels
If you had your award renewed last year, the only people who might contact you are the DWP. This sounds like a scam. If you want to be sure - check with the DWP. If you don't want to do that, I would leave it.

I remember seeing a few posts here about people getting texts from IAS and they where genuin. Here is the website. They do assessments for PIP www.mypipassessment.co.uk/what-we-do/
