Hi
I had to wait 24 months for my PIP Tribunal I told the DWP I had audio evidence which they ignored.
How do I go about claiming compensation?

The DWP are entitled to choose what evidence they want when making a Decision, even if your audio evidence proved crucial in your Tribunal, you don't say that this is the case, it still does not imply that the DWP were negligent in making the original Decision or the MR.

You can try making a complaint, see

www.gov.uk/government/organisations/depa...complaints-procedure

But this process can take years, the ICE is not even able to give a timescale for looking at complaints let alone resolving one.

You could seek legal advice but I would not get your hopes up, from memory I can only recall two cases where a claimant took the DWP to Court, although both cases found for the claimants. Your problem might be the Court insisting the DWP's own procedures before they will hear it.

The DWP made mistakes during the tribunal. I actually had 3 tribunals to resolve my case due to the DWP not supplying the right paperwork, I was told by the Tribunal judge to ask for compensation.

Hi adamwest101

Your question is outside the remit of the forum. I would follow Gordon's advice, if you do instruct solicitors to act for you, then you do need to be aware of cost implications.
