DLA to PIP was created by littlestars
Hello
Having Multiple Sclerosis I find it difficult remembering some information.
I am still receiving DLA. What is the date everyone should have been moved over to PIP? I am aware that I may have to voluntarily apply but would like to know by what date.

Hi Littlestars

DLA to PIP migration delayed
The planned transfer of DLA claimants to PIP has been delayed several times. It was paused in March 2020 due to the Coronavirus pandemic and it has been confirmed that this will not restart until April 2028. The DWP are experiencing a high number of new PIP claims and want to prioritise these assessments. A working age DLA claimant may still need to make a claim for PIP if they reach the end of a fixed period DLA award or have a change in their condition that would affect their rate of payment. They could also choose to make a claim for PIP if they think they will be better off.

My apologies for such a late addition to this thread. I have only recently caught on to recent news of DLA to PIP migration, since when I have done a little research which may be of interest.

The pause of this migration since March 2020 is the subject of a Daily Record article from November 2022:

www.dailyrecord.co.uk/lifestyle/money/dl...sfer-update-28513176

It references the answer to a written parliamentary question, which says the process remains paused. The claim that this pause will now continue to April 2028 is mentioned in this (and other) threads. I found it in a bulletin from the Welfare Benefits Unit:

www.welfare-benefits-unit.org.uk/wp-cont...n-Winter-2022-23.pdf

This references the government's 2022 Autumn statement as the source, but I cannot find anything there about the pause of DLA to PIP migration. It does, however, cover the pause of ESA to UC managed migration until 2028.
