PIP Review query was created by kat50
I have been sent a PIP review form and in it it says that they do not want GP letters sent.
Is this a new thing as I sent one in with my last form 5 years ago?
Surely GP information is relevant?
I have just asked my surgery to look at my Patient Summary as some of my long term conditions have been removed from it, but I’m not sure if this is being dealt with, no one can tell me, so I’m not sure if I will have it in time to send with my form, or do I just send the one they gave me with only a couple of my health conditions on, and the reports I have from a rheumatologist in 2019 and a current one from my specialist osteopath?

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Hi kat50
The DWP are trying to avoid letters from GPs that say they support a patient getting PIP. If you want to send a letter confirming your current medical information, then you should do so.
I can't tell you what information you should send in, but never send anything in that you think could harm your case rather than help. So only you can decide whether sending in a Patient Summary which has incomplete information is useful or could look odd. Up-to-date letters are useful if they contain information that support your claim.

Thanks for your advice. I will ask if the GP is willing to give me a letter confirming my current conditions.
