PIP Assessors Report was created by MrFibro
Hi to all,

I have a query! After nigh on 24 months my PIP review has finally been completed by the PIP assessor/s

This was confirmed by the DWP, and they also said that their DM's decision could take up to , and or could be over 6 weeks.

My question is this! When should i phone up the DWP, and ask them to send me out a copy of the PIP assessors report ( is it the ARP report) i don't remember the name of the pip report.

I assume i am rightful in thinking that even though the DM hasn't made his/her final decision on my PIP review, that its ok for me to request the PIP assessors report right ?

All advice and comments would be welcomed.

Thanks in advance, regards to all.

Hi MrFibro

If you have had a telephone or Face to Face assessment then you can contact DWP and ask for a copy of the assessors report called a PA4, 48 hrs after the assessment.

Quite often you used to get a text message informing DWP had received a copy of the report.

If you had a paper assessment this is called a PA3, contact DWP for a copy of the report.

Hi Gary,

Thanks for your reply to my query . Yes my PIP review was paper based.

So i shall get in touch with the DWP and ask for the PIP PA3 Report.

Thanks.

Hi Mr Fibro

If you want a copy of the report, it's as Gary said. Just be aware that some people who have had a paper-based review have been told when they phone that no assessment report was completed - just a decision was made, so there was nothing for them to send.

Hi bis,

Thanks for your reply, i have got the PA3 v2 pip assessors report, even though the DM has not made a decision yet.

I have just posted a few things about the contents of the report written by the assessor. I found the report was ok in parts but totally wrong in others ie descriptors for certain activities. such as i can use aids in the kitchen so scored 2 points, but i never scored more even though i have fobromyalgia, chronic fatigue, and 4 other physical related illnesses, which cause me severe pain and exhaustion. The assessor dismissed this.

It's like saying mr fibro can do himself a small bow of cold cereals, therefore he has no problem with a grip, he has a firm grip, therefore he does not need any help or supervision with preparing a meal. ie chopping up spuds and carrots etc.

So now i have got to try somehow in a MR and or appeal to undermine the assessors report in certain activities to gain the higher rate of both components of pip.

regards.

Hi Mr Fibro

You may not want to, especially as you're exhausted, but some people have had success in submitting a few pages of a diary. It might help in showing the difficulties you have in proving your pain and exhaustion to people who have no idea what it's like. There is an example under PIP Diaries benefitsandwork.co.uk/guides-for-claimants/pip
