PIP for dyspraxia and ADHD was created by Faisal
I have diagnoses of dyspraxia, ADHD and autistic traits .

I applied for PIP. I got 0 points .

I put a fresh new claim.

I got a letter from my GP, stating I have trouble consuming food , preparing food , taking medication, washing ( especially all over ).
I got a letter from my father.

The psychiatrist who diagnosed me with ADHD said I am very highly intelligent, struggle on a day to day basis ,

I can get a letter from an ADHD organisation.

Hopefully, a psychiatrist from the lord ADHD service, will write me a letter . I am seeing the local ADHD service.

I got contradictory replies , one email saying the psychiatrist who diagnosed me with ADHD in Birmingham, August 2020 should do the letter . I finished treatment with him
March 2021.

How will they help , what will hey do ?

I am tired as a result of my dyspraxia.

How much evidence is required for PIP, 2 good sources of evidence, 1 not so good .

What are my chances .

I got a degree aged 20, 1999, pgdip 2000.

How does mandatory reconsideration work ?

Hi Faisal

Please see my previous response.

It’s good that the GP has documented some areas where your condition affects your daily life.

More like these would be useful. Does the letter from your father document what support you get from the family?

Here is link to a guide for mandatory reconsideration

I have always found completing the forms for PIP and other benefits very stressful and exhausting, but if you are going to make a claim then you really need to put in the effort otherwise the stress is just not worthwhile.

I wish you every success.

Regards
Pete

Thanks Peter.

My father did a short letter .

Hopefully the psychiatrist in my local ADHD service , will write me a letter .

PIP assessors generally have a poor knowledge of neurodiversity.

What do I know for the mandatory consideration stage ?

Do I describe dyspraxia and ADHD in depth. ?

Is three items of evidence enough !

You must formally request an MR with the DWP, you can do this over the phone, by letter or by completing a form.

You request need to be made within one calendar month of the Decision, although it can be submitted up to 13 months after this date providing you provide reasons for the delay and these are accepted by the DWP.

I would try any evidence to support your MR with original request, you can send it later but you risk the MR being completed before it is received by the Decision Maker.

Decisions are taking anywhere from 4 weeks to 13 and in some rare cases even longer.

Any revised Decision applies from the date of the Decision being challenged, however long the MR takes to carried out.

Remember, it is not you condition that is being assessed but the limitations that result in regard to each of the PIP activities, so describing your Dyspraxia and ADHD is OK for best affect you need to link them back to the PIP Descriptors.
