ICB to CB ESa never had IR top was created by Loz
So I was on IB since @2004,, since then I was xferred to CB ESA have always been in Support Group. I have never ever had any kind of top up with IR ESA ? also the last forms for ESA I filled in were 2017 I have never had a decision letter from those forms or reassessment, cant help think thats its because I am medically retired around that time @2014/15 just to get a teeny pension £67 a month (hadnt worked since IB claim 2004 )from a certain org and it would look pretty daft to say I am fit for work! Only thing I had was about 3/4 years ago April change of rates stated put in support Group ...tbh I am paranoid that if I was to approach this now it would trigger and poke the bear, but I have just had my pip report and its recommended now ER for DL and ER Mobility for PIP from standard , however we know that could change with the DMaker ! so didn't know now if is it worth pursuing this IR top up or shall I leave it ...Im 61 in May

The DWP did a review of all IB claimants moved to ESA to see if they should have been paid an ESA(IR) top-up, it is possible that you did qualify for this on the day of transfer, although they should have confirmed this in writing.

You haven't included all of your circumstances so it's impossible to say what ESA(IR) you might be entitled to but being in the SG means that at the least the Enhanced Disability Premium would potentially be payable, currently £17.75/week for a single person.

Your pension would be deductable £ for £ from any ESA(IR) but there would likely still be some payable.

You need to contact the DWP and ask about ESA(IR) being paid as part of your ESA, it will require you to complete an ESA3 form which captures information about your household financial status.

Hi Liz

As your son lives at home then you would not be entitled to SDP but you would still be entitled to EDP which is paid with IR ESA not with CB ESA. As Gordon has pointed out any monies received from a occupational/Private pension is deducted £ for £ from IR ESA.
