hi
brief history: filled renewal form in feb 2022. after a short phone call in june 2023 kept my enhanced on both for a ongoing period.
fast forward to march 10th 2023 received a letter for a review yesterday 20th march. i thought it would be a quick call to see if my conditions are unchanged ,but no the call went on for 60 mins, virtually filling a form over the phone. at the end he said my claim would continue and i wont receive a letter from the review.i know i can be reviewed anytime but i was surprised how quick i had a review, 9 months, i have 2 questions if anyone can help
1, did i get the review because i reached pension age last month feb 2023 ?
2, can they take points off at the review stage ?

This one has me flummoxed, and I've not heard it happening before. I assume you meant you received the ongoing award from June 2022.
I don't know why it wasn't made clear to you the purpose of the call, - okay they said it was a review - but why no chance to fill out a form? I am slightly alarmed that they are saying you won't receive a letter with any record of what was said - or some sort of decision. This may just be a light touch review because you have reached pension age - but you should have been told that.
You don't have to, but I would be querying the fact you have no letter and getting an assurance that you will not be hearing from them again for an ongoing period.

i did receive a letter on the 10th of march 23 to say it is a review on the 20 march 23

one thing that was odd was the mobile number what he was going to ring me on was a old mobile number what i have not used in at least 5 years . he said at the start , that there was 1900 claimants that have been randomly picked to review and i was on it.
