UC50 Telephone Assessment - TODAY - Did not receive a call

Hi,

I wonder if anyone has experienced waiting for a telephone assessment for UC50 and not received it. I was given a 3hr time slot from 1300-1600hrs today. I received a call from the health assessment people at 1412hrs but that was just to check my details and she confirmed somebody would call before 1600hrs.

I have been waiting all that time in chronic pain and stressed not being able to move from the room I was using to take the call in case I missed it and they just say that I didn't answer and hold that against me.

Any advice on what usually happens in this situation and how can they put people through this.

Hi mj2022

I'm sorry that you find yourself in this position.

I'm afraid it does sometimes happen that people don't receive their phone call.

I would contact the health assessment people and ask them what is happening. I would also inform the DWP about what happened even if they offer you another date. You don't want anyone to accuse you of not taking part if something goes wrong with the second attempt.
