pip/esa mental health danger. was created by reds123
hi mods, i can recall a post where a mod said someone who is suffering with severe mental health could ask dwp to mark there file so they are aware that the claimant is vulnerable and this could be noted on the claimants file, is this correct and how would i go about this ? should i write to both pip and esa or just one letter would be enough for the system to be marked. many thanks reds123.

Hi reds123

Yes, you can have your file marked with a sticky note if you are a vulnerable claimant.

I am not too sure if you can do it yourself or if you have a support worker who can request it.

When a file is marked with a sticky note, no matter who opens the file the sticky note always comes to the front page so the operator can always see the note (in theory)

Hi reds123

You can write, but I would always advise people to call the DWP first- to check the process and then write, confirming your conversation and putting in the request to have him marked as a vulnerable claimant.
