esa and private pension increase reporting

hi,
i get my annual private pension rise in april each year, slight difference this year, the bummer being it is not going up by the rpi as usual, over 12% this year, but 5%, the rpi is discretional apparently, when it suits them i guess, anyway by the by, i always phone up in march to get the annual increase in how much per week terms, different provider now, and they will only give the % rise and not the actual weekly amount, although i can work it out, which i did, the dwp will not accept % amount, they want to know the weekly rise, which i can give them, but they will not accept from me personally, pension provider will not tell dwp, so i will find out the monthly rise when i get my april payslip at the end of april, so i will only be able to give them the monthly rise, which i hope they will accept, as all they have to do is half the pension rise and take it off my esa, although it is not four weekly, which may confuse them, but monthly, in the past both pension and dwp have been more helpful, although i got a bit of a telling off for being late last year, will be later this year, anyone know why agencies are being so unhelpful? it is a simple maths equation, i cannot understand the change to them even confirming my working out, any answers welcome,
many thanks

If the DWP need the information urgently then they will write to you, as long as you can provide the information within 30 days of the change taking affect then I would not expect it to be a problem.
