Where do I write to? was created by traceytracey
Hi,

I am trying to help my daughter (she suffers tonic clonic seizures with no warning and anxiety because of it).
She is now living on her own for the first time ever. (I have to let her try it even though it worries me to death). She has been waiting for a review since Feb 2022, all paperwork has been sent off and recieved.

Her GP has now written her a letter stating that waiting for and having a review on top of living on her own is causing extra stress (therefore extra seizures) and would be detremental to her mental and physical health to have a review and would cause her " extreme psychological distress" . Her GP has requested that her review should be paper based, But i dont know where to send the letter? Her last text was from Independent Assesment Services saying they are managing her claim on behalf of the DWP. Should it be sent to both? if yes then where?

Any help would be much appreciated

I am sorry if this info is available but I can't seem to find it, so apologies in advance .

Kind regards

Hi traceytracey

If you have the address of Independent Assesment Services then I would send a copy of GP letter to both IAS and DWP.

Make sure you mark both letters with your daughters name and NI number.

Unfortunately even with the Dr's letter it will not guarantee that your daughter will get a paper assessment. If you are unsuccessful in getting a paper assessment, you may want to get your MP involved.
