Another PIP review decision with no assessment

So, our daughter has joined the ranks of these, with a decision letter today months after sending in her review form. [and just after the old award finally ran out]. But no assessment.

While they have maintained her enhanced x 2, which is obviously a huge relief. it's only a 30 month award so we only get 18 months before the stress starts again.

My question is, with multiple assorted conditions two of which are genetic, therefore incurable, and signed off 'nothing else we can do' by all the specialists long ago, can I query the length for her?
If I do, are there any downsides possible or likely to weigh up, please?

Meantime a huge virtual bouquet to every soul at B&W and the Forum to thank you all for all the support.

Hi denby

We did have a member a few weeks ago who stated they were happy with the award but like your daughter their condition was only going to get worse overtime, so they sent in a letter, which I copied and they were successful with their MR.

Dear Sir / Madam

Request for Mandatory Reconsideration

I am writing to ask you to reconsider your decision dated 25th October 2021 about my Personal Independence Payment claim.

I had very little help when completing my PIP application, therefore when I was awarded a date limited award I was not aware that I could appeal the length of that award.

I have now been advised that I can appeal the length of the award, therefore I would like you to consider the following:

Daily Living Activities
Not contested.

Mobility Activities
Not contested.

Length of award
Contested.

I have been diagnosed with Parkinsonism; this is an incurable, and progressive, medical condition.

I wish to contest the date of 10th October 2024 on the basis that my condition will not improve nor will I get better.

Gary
