Going abroad 28 days esa was created by David Thomas
Hey my cousin paid for me to go abroad for my birthday, the travel date is 22 June and fly back July 19 but will arrive in the UK the 20th. Now I am freaking out and confused because it's 28 days and I am unsure if the day of travel and the day of returning count? All it says is "28 days" or "4weeks or more" does anyone have any experience with this and know how they factor in the days abroad?

Hi David

Just to let you know that a post doesn't appear until it has been approved by one of the moderators. So that's why you haven't seen an answer. So I've deleted your other two posts that ask the same thing.

I don't know the answer to your question, and the best thing is to raise it with the DWP if you're worried. I don't think they are going to be concerned. You're still in this country and set off on the 22nd of June, and you will be back on the 20th July, which is 28 days. I, however I am not the authority - so best to check with the DWP.
