hello again,
i received my pip renewal today, i have been awarded enhanced for both daily living and mobility, 17 points for daily living and 14 points for mobility, 8 points for both in 2016 i knew it was coming as i spoke to case manager 17th may and he told me what i was getting, it is for 10 years also, i think i should have been getting this since 2016 assessment. but there you go, i was paid a lump sum for original date 12th june 2022, so in real terms it is a 9 year award, the question i have is that i expect my wife to be leaving me when she retires within the next 2 years , the man i spoke to said i did not have to inform them when she leaves, but only if the standard things change or improve, the award points include help i need and prompting to do things, if i am on my own i don't know if that means if i can now do these things and will i suddenly not be entitled to help with these actions, although i will in reality i will, don't know what i will do when she leaves, my extended family will help as much as they can, bit confused where this leaves me now, any advice welcome, thanks in advance

Hi freefee
Congratulations on your improved ongoing award. That is good to hear.
The information you've been given was correct. You don't have to inform PIP if your wife leaves you. It will not have an impact on your award. You would still need the help regardless of whether you have someone to give it to you, and it's on that basis it is awarded.

Hi Freefee
You don't have to tell ESA that your PIP award has been improved because PIP is not counted as income.
