Sending back pip forms and the bank holiday was created by Nirvana90
Hello, I’ve found myself in a bit of a predicament and wondered if someone could advise me please.
I’ve had extensions and the new date to send off my review forms, was/is, the 10th of April. I planned to do this but didn’t realise it was a bank holiday and that post offices are closed. So is the PIP helpline (as you probably already know) so I can’t ring for any clarification.
I’ve been told on multiple occasions that the date given to me was a “send by date”, so they receive it on time. I asked for clarification multiple times from multiple people because I thought that in the past, it was a “we must receive this by”, date.
So if I send them Tuesday first class recorded, technically, would I be ok? I don’t see that I have many options right now so any input/advice, is welcome.

Hi Nirvana90
As it was a Bank Holiday, we weren't here to answer your question. I assume you have sent the form off today. I can't tell you what they meant about the date you had to return the form, as you were given extensions. If you're worried you should clarify with them asap that they received the form and that it's okay, you didn't return it earlier.

The date is the one that the DWP need to receive it by, they do allow time for it to be processed onto their systems but no postal time.
If your file is marked as vulnerable then there should be some flexibility about additional delays.
Ring the DWP as soon as you can and make it clear that the form is on its way. Did you post it using a Tracked post so you will have proof of delivery?
