Hello
I am looking for info about UC and LCWRA

I am currently ending a joint tax credits claim and will have to claim YC

I get PIp at high rate for both care and mobility, awarded in 2016 for an ongoing period with review date suggested as 2026

Currently I get disability and higher disabilities elements of Working Tax credits

I am able to do a part time job, but that alone is really hard and I know I couldn’t possibly do any more

I have help from Social Services, a PA, to help with managing paperwork, appointments etc

I really couldn’t do any more work or work related activities than I am currently doing in my pt job. I also look after my Autistic adult daughter

I know there would be a substantial risk to my health and hers if I was not found LCWRA

BUT, if you are working and not sending fit notes, how do you get access to the assessment?

It seems like if you are working (all be it only pt, limited amount) then there is no way to be assessed and I could only claim at the basic level

Has anyone got any further information?
Thank you

Hi KT

`I think you need to talk to a specialist benefits advisor, who will have more idea of the issue you raise and be able to look at your case, which is clearly complex. I don't know whether you can identify someone in your area. advicelocal.uk/

You will require a Fit Note in order to start the WCA review process.

A Fit Note does not have to say you are unable to work, it can state that your working is restricted and this will still be accepted by the DWP.

Playing Devil's Advocate, I don't think you will be assessed as meeting the Substantial Risk Regulations for Work and WRA, if you are currently working.
