PIP want to re-assess me. was created by Honey bee
Hi I was assessed by Capita recently & I was told that I would receive an outcome soon. I phones to see when the outcome would be posted to me & they told me that I needed to be re-assessed by them. I have never heard of this before & it is really playing on my mental health & making things worse. The person I spoke to in PIP was not very helpful. Can you give me any guidance on this please?

Hi Honey bee

I'm sorry this has happened to you. There are two or three members of B&W that this has happened to recently. If it had happened to me, I would be asking for an explanation of what has gone wrong. Is this the fault of the assessor, and they haven't written a good enough report? It's not fair of them just to say that they need to do another without you understanding why.

If it is affecting your mental health, you could ask them to do a paper-based assessment. Unfortunately, they don't have to agree, and you should only do this if you think that they already hold sufficient information on you. If they do a paper-based assessment on limited information, then you could possibly lose out.
