A pensioner on High Rate Mobility DLA ( no care )
Circumstances have changed and due to medical conditions worsening he now needs care
Can we ask DLA to look at it ? or would it trigger a claim for PIP

kind regards

Hi Jan1955

It would depend on the persons DOB, if born before 08/04/48 then will stay on DLA, if not then then may be asked to apply for PIP.

If asked to apply for PIP, remember that the descriptors are different between DLA and PIP, so do read our guide which will help you.

Hi Jan1955

Try your local Welfare Rights Organisation for help; you can find your local Welfare Rights Organisation to help you with advice by clicking on the link below and putting in your post code, it will then come up with a MAP with a list of agencies. advicelocal.uk
