Backpay for PIP was created by Annabel
Recently, I received standard care and standard mobility for PIP. I completed a review form in July 2021 and had a phone assessment aprox 20 months later. My condition had got worse during the time in between, affecting my mobility more. Before, I received standard care and no mobility and now I have standard mobility too which is good.

My question is can I get back pay for the standard mobility for the time in between, while I was waiting? I didn't report a change at the time it got worse as I didn't realise about this. Would it make a difference providing medical evidence of the time period it got worse from my doctor or physio?

Thank you

Hi Annabel

Unless you requested a change of circumstances then a review will not be backdated, the changes take place from the date of the decision.
