PIP reclaim was created by susan
Hi,
I am currently on PIP standard living and no mobility for the last year. My condition has worsened and wanted to know how do I get my award reassessed to be increased to advanced and claim mobility? I have been calling the help line but when I get past automated voice I and then put in a queue and line is disconnected.

Susan, ignore the automated voice & you won’t get cut off, they will eventually answer.

Hi susan
Welcome to the forum.
You might want to have a look at the following FAQ which explains where everything is; www.benefitsandwork.co.uk/guides-for-claimants/faq/forum
If you are unable to get through by phone to the DWP, then write to them and ask for a change of circumstance due to your deteriorating condition. Make sure you send your letter by recorded delivery and make a note in the letter that you have been trying by phone to get through and report a change in circumstances.
Make sure you keep a copy of your letter.
Remember that not all changes in circumstances will produce a higher award, so check out our self-tester under the PIP tab above and our PIP guide first before applying.
