Does the DWP keep records of old benefit claims? I need to try and get some information from an old claim I made for ESA from 2013-2019, just not sure if it's worth phoning them as wasn't sure if they keep old records.
Thank you

HI vicki_s, I would think it is definitely worth asking.
I asked for previous claims information to be sent to me from a few years back and they did, so I am sure it is worthwhile at least asking if they have the information
Good luck

If it was me I’d put in for Subject Access Request, think it’s called that. State that dates you want it from and to, then you’ll get all the DWP notes from that time period.

I would try and be more specific if you can than just using the dates as suggested by Gettingonwithlife you could easily end up with 100s even 1000s of pages from the DWP otherwise.
