I have been waiting off my court date for my pip Change of circumstances.
My anxiety is through the roof about the day.
My original claim had to go to tribunal and I attended the court day, which made me ill from physical pain and my mental health. I'm wondering if I attended again it will really set me back. I was wondering if it will make my case worse if I don't attend or is there an option for zoom for the day. There is a real big walk to court and it really hurts me and my anxiety won't let me be dropped off and wait for the person attending with me to park up and then come back to me, my Citizens advice representative can't attend as they have too much work load. Any advice will me much appreciated. Thank you.
You need to talk to the Tribunal Service. Only they can tell you what is happening in your area and whether it will be a face-to-face or video assessment. Most members on here appear to have had video assessment tribunals recently. You could request a video assessment and see what they say.
You could also put in a request to have a paper-based decision. However, you would need to think about that carefully, as there is a lower success rate for paper-based decisions because there is no chance for the panel to query any of the information they have.
